We are part of the National Parent-Teacher Association, a nationwide organization that promotes enhanced education in public schools throughout the country. Box Tops Contest Results
Ms. Watlington’s 3rd Grade won our January Box Tops contest.  Congratulations!     We will have another contest in April.  Keep sending Box Tops and Campbell’s Soup Labels to school, in a baggie or container with your teacher’s name on it.    Our school receives 10¢ for each Box Top that we submit.   With your help we can reach our goal of $500.00 for this school year.   Contact Tommy Housworth at tommy@tommyhousworth.com.

UPDATE: No 2008-2009 School Yearbooks

Medlock PTA Calendar Highlights:

August 25
6:00 p.m.--PTA meeting and Curriculum Night

September 7
Labor Day - NO SCHOOL

September 12
Free Outdoor Community Movie Night: Horton Hears a Who
7:00 p.m. – pizza, popcorn, water and juice
8:00 p.m. – Movie begins on the big outdoor screen
Grab your lawn chairs and blankets, load up the kids, and meet us on the Medlock Elementary School playground for an evening of entertainment under the stars. >>more (PDF)

September 25
Our first *Fun Friday*  (This replaces Fantastic Fridays.   Everyone wears their Medlock tees to school.    Students are encouraged to bring goodies in the morning for the faculty and staff.    There will be a dance or movie for the students after school from 3-5.)

September 30
Spirit Night:  The last Wednesday of each month (except August, November and December) will be Medlock Spirit Night.    Medlock families are encouraged to participate by dining at a specific local restaurant each month from 5-9 p.m.    Medlock will earn a percentage of the sales during this time.    This is a fun way to meet other Medlock families and help our school at the same time.    The locations will be announced.
